Job Description

ATTENTION: graduating doctoral students and current postdoctoral associates

The Department of Cancer Biology and the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (WFUBMC) proudly announce postdoctoral training opportunities in a unique fellowship program entitled “Transition to Independence”. This program, based on the successful K99 award mechanism, provides two years of mentored, NCI-supported training in basic, translational, or clinical cancer research. The third year, supported by WFUBMC, offers a promotion to the instructor level and the associated freedom to pursue extramural grant support that will facilitate transition towards an independent, academic career in cancer research. Take advantage of the exceptional resources and expertise provided by our Prostate, Breast, and Brain Tumor Centers of Excellence at a medical center that is nationally recognized for its contributions to research, patient care, and education. For information about specific research projects, please review the Faculty and Co-Faculty links within our departmental website.
